Willcom Mobile Communicator Hits a High Note with Beatnik Audio

Beatnik & Clavis Team Up to Deliver Advanced Audio Features to the
W-ZERO3 (designed by Sharp) Personal Communicator in Japan
GSM Congress, Barcelona - February 13th, 2006 -- Beatnik, Inc., the
leading provider of audio software solutions for mobile devices today
announced that through Clavis Company, Beatnik's sales and marketing
partner in Japan, the Beatnik Audio Engine (BAE) has been licensed by
Sharp Corp. for inclusion in the Willcom W-ZERO3 personal communicator
(designed by Sharp).
The Beatnik Audio Engine provides high fidelity music synthesis and
audio playback for the Windows Mobile 5.0-based personal communicator
shipping on the Willcom Inc. wireless network in Japan.
Clavis and Beatnik teamed up to provide to Willcom the Beatnik mobileBAE
for Windows Mobile audio software product, one of the first Microsoft
technology based products to ship in Japan. Clavis is Beatnik's
marketing, sales and technical support partner for Japanese OEM mobile
products manufacturers.

The flexible, pure software BAE enables the real time generation of high
quality audio by any application on the phone, including polyphonic and
real music ringtones, music players, multimedia messaging and
interactive games. The BAE is fully integrated with the Japanese Windows
Mobile 5.0 platform, delivering a fully functional audio DirectShow
plug-in on the device and allowing applications to access the rich audio
generation functionality through standard platform APIs.

formats. Beatnik has licensed its BAE technology to industry-leading
wireless handset manufacturers and platform providers including Nokia,
Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Siemens, Samsung, Panasonic and Freescale
Semiconductor. BAE is available as a plug-in for Microsoft Windows
