SavaJe in Harmony with Beatnik Mobile Audio Technologies

Beatnik Audio Engine to deliver Java audio capability in SavaJe OS.

San Mateo, CA – November 10, 2005 -- Beatnik, Inc., the leading provider of structured audio software solutions for mobile devices, today announced that the Beatnik Audio Engine (BAE) has been licensed by SavaJe Technologies for inclusion in their SavaJe OSTM platform for mobile devices. The Beatnik Audio Engine provides all of the key audio services for the platform, enabling high fidelity music synthesis and audio playback whilst supporting the open standard file formats required by today's operator services.

The mobileBAE software provides a configurable and flexible audio solution that allows any application to generate high quality audio in real time through calls to standard interfaces. mobileBAE provides a compliant solution for the Java Mobile Media API, meaning that Java applications such as games and music players can utilise the audio services to synthesise sound effects, backing tracks and digital audio through the industry standard API. SavaJe OS is a high performance, Java-based operating system for mobile multimedia handsets, delivered with a complete set of easy-to-use applications, and a highly customizable user experience layer.

Beatnik has licensed its BAE technology to industry-leading wireless handset manufacturers and platform providers including Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Siemens, Samsung and Panasonic.
