Nokia
As Beatniks initial technology licensee in
1999, Nokia has released many devices using
the Beatnik technology for polyphonic ringtones. These
devices range from mass market 3510 and 7210 to the
Series 60-based 7650 and 3650 smartphones.

Samsung
In 2003, Samsung joined the group of top five handset manufacturers
licensing Beatnik technology. Samsung is the leading producer of CDMA
handsets and the world’s third largest manufacturer of mobile phones, with a
market share of 10.6% in the third quarter of 2002, rising from sixth place
in 2000 with a market share of 5.0%(source:Dataquest). Samsung Electronics
continues to strengthen its global position, producing and marketing CDMA,
GSM and TDMA mobile phones as well as 3G handsets.

Sony Ericsson
Mobile Communications
Sony Ericsson became a Beatnik Audio Engine licensee
in 2002, and released the P800 Smartphone, its first
Beatnik-enabled device, the following year. This Symbian-based
camera phone uses Beatniks technology to play
high quality polyphonic ringtones and Beatniks
APIs are available to P800 application developers
as part of the Metrowerks Developer Studio for Symbian
OS product line complete with a UIQ emulation environment.

Danger, Inc.
Danger licensed the Beatnik Audio Engine as part
of its Hiptop device platform in 2002. Shortly after,
T-Mobile licensed the hiptop design for the T-Mobile
Sidekick. This combination phone-internet browser-PDA
is the first Beatnik-enabled device to have a native
